Registration is open for the second annual radKIDS® Summer Camp in Cobb County at $80 for each child.

Again this July, the Cobb Safety Village, Greater Atlanta Christian School and Cobb, Kennesaw and Marietta Police Departments will host this camp.

Started in 2001, radKIDS® is a safety education program that emphasizes personal empowerment for children between the ages of 5 and 12.

Topics to be covered include how to prevent bullying and how to stay safe while on the internet, at home, at school, in a vehicle and outdoors.

Also to be discussed will be the many tricks used by child predators and the physical resistance strategies that children can use to thwart these possible child abduction attempts.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. July 20-23 at the Cobb Safety Village, 1220 Al Bishop Drive, Marietta.

Children will be placed in classrooms according to age - based on their age when camp begins.
