Cobb proposes new attendance boundaries

Cobb County Schools will hold two public forums about redistricting proposals.

The district has posted maps on its website -- www.cobbk12.org -- and is accepting public comment there. The change is prompted by new school construction and changes in enrollment patterns. It would occur over the next two years, and cause the closure of Brown and Sky View elementary schools.

The two-hour forums begin at 6:30 p.m., on Oct. 25 at Pebblebrook High School and Oct. 26 at Campbell High School. A final proposal will go to the school board for a vote in February.
