Leone Hall Price Park will receive improvements because of a unanimous vote of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 9.

A contract for around $448,833 was awarded to Integrated Construction and Nobility Inc., the low bidder.

The park, 4715 Stilesboro Road, Kennesaw, is a 126-acre passive park that has a network of natural-surface walking trails through woods and open meadows and along Allatoona Creek with a small gravel parking lot.

Improvements will increase access and usability of the park with more parking and a restroom structure with an attached pavilion.

The parking design will include an additional connection to Stilesboro Road to allow separate, dedicated entrance and exit access, “greatly improving sight distances and safety,” said Cobb P.A.R.K.S. Director Jimmy Gisi in a Jan. 9 memo to Cobb County Manager Rob Hosack.
