A traffic stop conducted Thursday in Cobb County led police to recover thousands of dollars in cash, drugs, a firearm, credit cards and mail belonging to other people.

A Cobb officer conducted the stop around 5 p.m. March 28 on Powder Springs Road near Barrett Parkway in Powder Springs for an equipment violation.

According to the department’s Facebook page, the cop smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and seeing that there were three people inside the car, he called for backup.

“One of the occupants admitted there were drugs in the vehicle,” Cobb police said.
