Cobb County police explorers took home a first-place win last week at the 2019 Boy Scouts of America Winterfest competition.

The two-day annual event, held Feb. 8-9 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, allows young men and women interested in a career in law enforcement to showcase what they’ve learned in scenario-based incidents on which they are judged. More than 3,000 explorers representing agencies across the southeast participated in the competition.

Cobb explorers won first place in officer survival, second place in man with a gun and fourth place in domestic violence scenarios.
