Cobb park-and-ride-lot meeting set

Community comments are requested concerning a new Cobb County park-and-ride lot.

A Public Information Open House on the proposed Hickory Grove Park-and-Ride Lot will be held by the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Pitner Elementary School, 4575 Wade Green Road, Acworth.

There will be no formal presentation.

A 522-space Xpress Commuter Coach park-and-ride facility is proposed to be built at the northwest corner of Hickory Grove Road and Interstate 75.

The facility would be nine acres and include three bus loading/unloading areas.
