A Cobb County man was indicted last week on charges he robbed a hotel, doughnut shop, restaurant and bank, almost all of which were committed at gunpoint.

Tyler Jamal Hill, 20, of Marietta was indicted on four counts of armed robbery and one count of robbery by intimidation, Cobb court records show.

According to the indictment, the robberies spanned December 2017 to January 2018. The first was reported Dec. 10, 2017, at Araamda Inn at 5300 South Cobb Drive.

According to an arrest warrant, Hill passed a note to the clerk that read, “I have a gun if you don’t give me all the cash I’m going to shoot you.”

The next robbery was Dec. 20, 2017, when Hill brandished a firearm and took $961 from SunTrust Bank at 1380 Powers Ferry Road. The warrant in that incident notes Hill gave the teller a note that said “100s and 50s.”

“Hurry up and don't push no buttons,” he told her. But the worker did activate the panic button before giving him the cash, the warrant added.

On Jan. 10, Hill went to Dunkin’ Donuts at 2885 Canton Road and demanded cash from the employees. An arrest warrant states Hill partially displayed a handgun from a backpack to employees. He nabbed more than $500 before leaving the restaurant. Two of the four armed robbery charges stem from two people being present at Dunkin’ Donuts at the time of that incident.

On Jan. 28, Hill walked into Jimmy John’s at 1337 Powers Ferry Road, approached the counter and said “Give me all that (expletive),”before brandishing a firearm so the cashier could see it. He left the restaurant with $240.

Hill turned himself in to authorities in March 2018 and remains held at the Cobb County Jail without bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. April 22 in courtroom 7200 at Cobb County Superior Court.
