Cobb County police Tuesday afternoon identified a man stabbed to death during an overnight argument.
A dispute late Monday night between a woman, the father of her child and her new boyfriend ended in the stabbing death of the new boyfriend, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The incident happened just after 10 p.m. on Brackett Drive, off Windy Hill Road near Marietta.
Cobb police Sgt. Dana Pierce said responding officers found Christopher Reynolds, 26, of Marietta, dead in the roadway after being stabbed during an altercation with another male.
The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Charles Mahaffey of Marietta, fled on a bicycle but was quickly arrested, Pierce said.
Pierce said Mahaffey is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on charges of aggravated assault and felony murder.
