A Kennesaw man who was struck by an SUV while jogging this week died of his injuries Friday, Cobb County police said.

Jeffrey Ingram, 32, was running in Kennesaw along North Booth Road near Junction Drive on Thursday when he was hit by a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse. The SUV was driven by William Benton, 50, of Doraville, police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said in a release.

Ingram, who was eastbound along the edge of the road when he was struck, was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in critical condition.

Investigators were trying to determine who was at fault in the incident, police said Saturday. Police asked that anyone with information on the incident call 770-499-3987.
