Cobb County’s Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration, “Keeping the Dream Alive: Continuing the Journey,” is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 17.

The event includes the annual presentation of the “Living the Dream” award to a resident exemplifying King’s ideals.

Featured performances include oratorical recitations, musical renditions and reflections on King’s legacy by five county students. WSB-TV reporter Eric Phillips will be the program’s emcee.

The 25th annual celebration begins at 10 a.m. at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre at the Cobb Civic Center, 548 S. Marietta Parkway in Marietta.
