Smyrna police dealt with a dash of Pepper on Saturday night.

The cops responded to a call off Burnt Hickory Road because a caller said there was a pig in their yard, said Smyrna police spokesman Sgt. Louis Defense.

Seven officers surrounded the pig to ensure there’d be no escape.

“It was a short chase,” Defense said.

Speaking of animals and Smyrna copsSmyrna has a new very good boy K-9 dog

He said as soon as officers caught up to Pepper, the subject rolled onto its back so cops could administer some belly rubs.

The cops returned the pig home, which was a few doors down.

Hopefully the owners named Pepper after “Peppa Pig,” the chubby British cartoon pig who goes on adventures with family.
