Cobb, ever want to get inside a 125-pound colon? Friday is your chance

If you see a 12-foot-tall inflatable colon in the main lobby of WellStar Kennestone Hospital on Friday, you may not be hallucinating. But if you were, it’s a good spot to do so.

The colossal colon will be there at 10 a.m. as part of a colon cancer awareness campaign, according to a news release.

The walk-through colon, provided by San Francisco-based biotech company Genentech, shows the progression of cancer from stage 1 to stage 4.

It is 12 feet wide, 10 feet long and weighs 125 pounds, the news release said.

The big, pink inflatable gut part will be in Gwinnett County the next day.
