The Cobb Board of Education voted 7-0 Tuesday to spend around $12 million for school improvements.
Around $11 million will go to Swofford Construction of Austell for McEachern High School renovations in Powder Springs.
Completion is expected by September 2016.
Another $1 million will be paid to Triad Construction of College Park for freezer and cooler replacements.
By July, they will be delivered to Floyd Middle School and Dowell, Kennesaw, LaBelle, Powder Springs and Timber Ridge Elementary Schools.
