Bradley Chubb, DL, N.C. State (Hillgrove High School)
Chubb was a product of Powder Springs' Hillgrove program who now starts as a defensive lineman for N.C. State.
A story published to ESPN's ACC blog entitled "Bradley Chubb leads a dangerous defensive line at N.C. State" praises Chubb and the rest of the line for their off-season commitment to working hard.
He started every game his sophomore year at defensive end and was the second-leading tackler with 69 stops. His 12 tackles for a loss put him at second.
His cousin is Nick Chubb, star UGA running back who will play this season after recovering from a grisly knee injury.

Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss (Hillgrove High School)
Engram is a three-year starter at Ole Miss who hails from Powder Springs.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution listed him as one the top five seniors headed for the 2017 draft.
At the beginning of the season, he was already an all-time leading Ole Miss tight end in receptions with 97 and receiving yards with 1,394. His seven career touchdowns puts him in a tie for fifth place among all Ole Miss tight ends.

Quincy Mauger, S, UGA (Kell High School in Marietta)
Mauger is a senior who has played strong safety the last two seasons for UGA but is from Marietta.
The week before the start of the season, he was seen with a boot on his left foot, but was practicing without issue the next day.
In 2015, Mauger totaled 58 tackles during his 13 games, 11 of which he started in.

Brandon Kublanow, C, UGA (Walton High School in Marietta)
Kublanow is a Marietta native who has started for 13 games at UGA for the past two seasons.
He played left guard until, with the help of YouTube, he became a starting center, which he played at Walton in Marietta.
He was named to Jewish Sports Review's All-America Team and, in his sophomore year helped earn the best yards-per-game rushing average in the SEC with 257 yards per game.

Willis is a former walk-on put on scholarship prior to 2015. He went on that year to rush for 169 yards on 32 attempts with one touchdown.
He went to Lassiter in Marietta where he was an All-Cobb County selection at running back.
In 2013, he played three games before jumping to nine games in 2014 and 12 in 2015.

Jennings is expected to start as the Ragin' Cajuns quarterback after starting at another Louisiana football program a hop, skip and a swamp away.
He led LSU to an 8-4 record in 2014 as a sophomore and ended the Tigers' 2013 season with a win against Iowa in the Outback Bowl.
At Marietta, he passed for more than 800 yards and averaged better than 5 yards per carry as a senior in 2012, according to Louisiana's The Advertiser.

Howell is a wide receiver at Georgia Tech and is slated for some time on the field after redshirting last season.
Howell, who was born in Austell, lettered in football and track at Wheeler in Marietta. The fact that he was one of four signees to enroll early in January 2015 gave him time to soak in the offense and bulk up, according to an SB Nation blog named "From Under The Rumble Seat."
"Howell is a bit of a sleeper candidate for a breakout player of the year," the blog said.
