Cobb County police are looking for a man they claim robbed an Austell gas station with a knife.

Investigators claim the man supposedly walked into the Texaco at 1401 Hurt Road near Burlington Coat Factory about 6:45 a.m. with a folding knife and started demanding money from an employee.

The armed man left the gas station after the worker gave him money from the register. No one was injured.

The department described the man as standing about 5 feet 10 inches and between 30 and 35 years old.

They said he had a “French shave” style of facial hair — a mustache paired with a goatee — and was wearing a dark hoodie.

Anyone with information about the alleged crime can call Cobb police’s Crimes Against Persons Unit at 770-499-3945.

To anonymously report and possibly receive a reward of up to $2,000, contact Atlanta Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477). Or text "CSA" plus your tip to CRIMES (274637).
