The Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 Tuesday, June 16, to approve two senior living communities.
Whale Ventures/Northwest Christian Church was granted rezoning for a residential senior living community at 3535 Shallowford Road on 5.2 acres that is bounded by Fricks Road and Wesley Chapel Road.
The church is moving and selling its property “because the church did not see favor in the community,” attorney Kevin Moore for the applicant said.
Rezoning also was approved for an assisted living facility by Bighom Properties/Green Park PCH Inc. on the west side of Canton Road and south of Shallowford Road.
