Holiday things to do this weekend in metro Atlanta

December 16, 2016 DeKalb County: Richard Ledyard didn't have to go far to occupy the interest of his 5-year old grandson, Anderson Callaway on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 as his neighbors have quite the Christmas display in their front yard at the corner of Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Winall Down Road in Brookhaven. The home owned by Gary and Vickie Gropper are in their 13th year of displaying Christmas inflatables. According to their daughter, Brittany Gropper, there are over 150 objects and they're still adding more. She added, "Every year Georgia Power sends us a box of GODIVA chocolates with a note saying, '?Thanks for making our year.'"

December 14, 2016 Forest Park: Elective Covana Torres of Appalachian Farms of Cranberry from North Carolina helps load Christmas trees at G&S Trees at the Atlanta State Farmers Market at 16 Forest Parkway in Forest Park on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016. Torres is working in Atlanta for 4-weeks with G&S Trees Manager, Kevin Martin (not pictured) who said they‰Ûªve done over 14-thousand tree sales, primarily Fraser firs ranging from 2-feet to 16-feet tall. Most of the customers have been individual lots and next week they will have a very limited supply left. He said their sales were early and faced paced. Christmas trees aren‰Ûªt the only thing moving at a face pace as temperatures will drop in the coming days. Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton says Thursday will be breezy and cold with a high of 44 and the low 32. JOHN SPINK /JSPINK@AJC.COM
