A Clayton County woman is starting the new year off right after winning a quarter-million dollars in the lottery.
Yonqueal Ridley of Riverdale matched the first five numbers from Saturday’s Mega Millions drawing, winning a $250,000 prize.
Ridley claimed her prize Monday at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.
Winning numbers from Saturday’s drawing were 10, 13, 32, 40 and41 with a Mega Ball of 32.
“I found out the next morning while watching TV,” said Ridley, 40. “I was screaming and hollering.”
“I want to buy a new home,” said Ridley, a mother of two, who bought her ticket at K&B Grocery on Roberts Road in Riverdale.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is at an estimated $30 million.
