Clayton Schools Superintendent Morcease Beasley will host a second Facebook Live with the south metro community at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The discussion will be an update to the roughly 30-minute Facebook Live Beasley held March 23 in which he talked about the impact of the coronavirus on schools. Thousands of residents tuned in and left hundreds of comments.

School systems across metro Atlanta have been using social media, web forums and email to keep constituents informed of behind the scenes efforts to address the virus and what that means for the remainder of the school year.

In the previous Facebook event, Beasley told viewers that school would be closed until at least mid April because of the coronavirus, and that all proms are being postponed or rescheduled to possibly later in this school year.
