Proceeds from a recent community road race will finance the trip, which is part of the Georgia Children’s Outdoor Initiative. Children must live in Clayton County, 14 years old or younger and enrolled in 7th or 8th grade. Applicants must write an essay describing the outdoor activity they want to do. Submissions must be postmarked no later than midnight April 30. Winners will be announced by May 25. Details: www.claytonparks.com or call 770 477-3766.
