Clayton home sales increased 17 percent in November compared to the same period a year ago.

Clayton home sales and their prices were up double digits in November over the same period a year ago, according to figures from real estate firm Re/Max.

The price of a median home in Clayton was $159,450 in November, up 13.9 % over the median of $140,000 in November 2018.

A total of 142 homes were sold in Clayton this past November, 17.4 % more than the 121 sold during the same period a year ago. Homes were on the market for three days longer in November compared to November 2018.

Re/Max said Clayton was in good company as all metro Atlanta counties saw home sale prices increase in November compared to the previous year.

“Greater Atlanta’s median home sale price increased at a steady 7.1% compared to November 2018,” said Re/Max’s Jeff LaGrange.
