An attempted robbery in College Park has left a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
Clayton County police said they responded to a shooting Friday afternoon near Lake of the Woods Apartments, in the 700 block of Garden Walk Boulevard in College Park. When they arrived, they found the victim, who was not immediately identified, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officers said three black males were attempting to rob the victim when one of them pulled out a handgun and fired, striking the victim.
Clayton County Fire and Emergency Services transported the man to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.
