Clayton cops: Man shoots wife day after protective order served

A man who had just been served a temporary protective order gunned down his wife in a pharmacy parking lot Thursday, Clayton County police said.

Witnesses told police the woman’s husband, Eddie Mack Allison, 66, was the shooter, according to a statement released by the Clayton County Police Department.

When responding officers arrived on scene at the CVS parking lot at 10307 Tara Boulevard in Lovejoy, they found 44-year-old Deborah Rahmon lying on the ground.

She had been shot three times, police said.

Clayton County Fire and Emergency Services transported Rahmon to an area hospital where she was placed in intensive care. Her condition was not immediately known.

Allison was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and theft by receiving.
