The town of Clarkston is considering mellowing out when it comes to arresting those caught with a pinch of pot. City officials have come to the realization that arresting people for marijuana does citizens more harm than good. They don't think that should be the role of police.

State law enforcement officials and Gov. Nathan Deal on not happy with the idea. The law is the law they say, although that's usually what governors and top cops are supposed to say. Meanwhile, Clarkston is moving along, in step with what a majority of Americans want.
