The Clarkston City Council will hold a public hearing during the regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Clarkston Council Room, City Hall Annex, 1055 Rowland St. The public hearing is to discuss the proposed 2017 operating budget for the city. The proposed expenditure budget for all funds is $8,377,606 and for operating budget of $7,673,107, for a total increase from Fiscal Year 2016 of $5,097,893.
The council will discuss approval of contracts for municipal court judge David Will and court solicitor Donna Gopaul, and will also consider a resolution holding a special election. The election, to take place in March 2017 if approved, would fill the vacancy of councilman Robert Hogan, who resigned last month.
