The runoff election for the Post 2 city council seat in Fayetteville will be held 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Dec. 3.

The choice is between Kathaleen Brewer, the incumbent, and Joe Clark, a member of the city’s planning and zoning commission. Of the four candidates who ran in the Nov. 5 election, Clark earned 31 percent of the votes and Brewer got 29 percent, which qualified them for the runoff. Polls will be open at only two locations: the Fayette County Public Library at 1821 Heritage Park Way for city residents living south of Ga. Hwy. 54, and at the Lafayette Educational Center at 205 Lafayette Avenue (near Fayette County High School) for those living north of Ga. Hwy. 54.

Only residents who are already registered voters for this election cycle may cast ballots.
