The city of Milton has partnered with the Crabapple Community Association to offer an ornament in the shape of the Milton welcome sign.
CCA President Jennifer Newton said this is the first ornament in what her organization hopes will become an annual tradition. It is priced at $20 and can be purchased online at: http://bit.ly/2vtfgMY
Sales proceeds will benefit city special events and programs.
“Each year, the plan is to offer a unique ornament with proceeds benefiting a designated organization or initiative,” Newton said.
The welcome sign, at the gateway to the Crabapple area, is notable because it was stolen last year and returned after pleas on social media “to bring the sign home for the holidays,” officials said. Ornaments can be ordered online until Dec. 1, but those ordered before Sept. 9 will be available for pick-up at Crabapple Fest, Oct. 7.
