Cherokee County and the Cherokee 4-H club have announced drive-through rabies vaccination clinics for pets in the parking lots of nine elementary schools on Saturday, April 13.

The clinics are one hour apiece and are scheduled to start at 9 a.m. at R.M. Moore, Hickory Flat and Oak Grove schools; 11:15 a.m. at Clayton, Woodstock and Sixes schools; and 2 p.m. at Ball Ground, Holly Springs and Hasty schools.

The fee is $10 per animal, cash or check only; proceeds will benefit the Cherokee 4-H. Vaccines are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For safety reasons, pet owners are asked to leave their animals in their vehicles.

Officials remind the public that Georgia law requires all dogs and cats three months of age and older to be vaccinated. The clinics are open to residents of Cherokee County and elsewhere. Information: https://bit.ly/2VfUQ4m
