All sorts of surplus goods, from classroom desks to DVD players, dishwashers, carpentry tools and school buses, will go on the auction block Saturday, Nov. 10, as the Cherokee County School District cleans house.

A sale preview starts at 7:30 a.m., and bidding begins at 9 a.m., at the district Central Warehouse, 201 Mountain Brook Court, Canton. The auction will be conducted by Jeff Dobson & Associates Inc.

Other items include classroom and office furniture; electronics and appliances such as TVs, video cameras and washers and dryers; office equipment, such as adding machines, telephones and typewriters; and school food service equipment including refrigerators, stoves and cutlery.

Also, power tools including saws, a belt sander, air compressor and drill press; vehicles such as seven International school buses as well as trucks, utility vans and automobiles; and “miscellaneous” items such as band and cheer uniforms, a piano, weight lifting equipment and other gym gear.
