The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners has given the go-ahead for a county crew to repair Baxter Avenue at Reinhardt University in Waleska.

Reinhardt will reimburse the county the $24,264 cost of asphalt repairs and resurfacing, according to a memorandum of agreement approved by the commissioners. Staff also has recommended removing a failed brick paver section and repaving it.

A partnership agreement between the county and Reinhardt reached earlier this year provides for the repair and resurfacing of roads in and around the university, using manpower and equipment provided by the county.
