Road construction will significantly impact I-575 at Towne Lake Parkway Wednesday night, weather permitting.
GDOT officials said that from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. northbound I-575 traffic will exit at Towne Lake Parkway (Exit 8), cross Towne Lake and then use the entrance ramp onto I-575 to resume heading northbound.
Eastbound traffic on Towne Lake Parkway will be directed south onto I-575, exiting at Ga. 92 (Exit 7), then heading back north on I-575 and exiting at Towne Lake Parkway to resume eastbound travel. Westbound Towne Lake Parkway drivers will be funneled north on I-575 to Ridgewalk Parkway (Exit 9), then left on Ridgewalk before turning back south on I-575 and exiting at Towne Lake Parkway to continue heading west.
Crews will be doing bridge beam work in connection with the project, adding nearly 30 miles of toll lanes on I-75 and I-575.
