Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services is accepting applications for new firefighter recruits through Friday, April 12, officials announced.

Applicants must have a current Georgia AEMT (Advanced Emergency Medical Technician), EMT-I (Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate) or Paramedic license, or a current license as an AEMT or Paramedic through the National Registry, according to a county announcement.

Candidates also must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license, and follow application directions. Hourly pay ranges from $12.04 to $18.66, according to a county jobs website. To apply: https://bit.ly/2nPU7Gh
