Cherokee County commissioners have approved a template agreement that sets fees and rules for other fire departments using the Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services training facility in Holly Springs.

Commissioners also approved a training facilities agreement with Johns Creek using the new document.

According to the template agreement, fire departments may use the facility for training under the supervision of Cherokee County personnel. The minimum fee of $300 covers four hours of on-site use; each additional hour will cost $50.

Additionally, a $5 fee will be charged for each pallet needed for live burning and training exercises; or, users can bring their own pallets, provided they meet Cherokee County requirements.
