A rendering of Avalon’s second phase.
Avalon — a mixed-use development in Alpharetta where one can work, eat, live and play — will host its grand opening of its expansion on April 13.
But before the expansion was a collection of brick and mortar shops, offices, restaurants and apartments, its was just dirt.
Avalon has provided a video to show the progress of its work:
Avalon will cut a ribbon for its Boulevard East expansion on April 13 at 9 a.m.
Following the ceremony, the day will be filled with events.
Here is a schedule:
- 10 a.m. to noon: Sweets & Smiles | The Plaza Parents and caretakers of little ones are invited to The Plaza for a kid-centric celebration with Avalon. Enjoy family-friendly fun with music from Sir Crazy Pants, interactive games and activities specially designed for tots.
- 2 to 5 p.m.: Flavor & Flair | The Boulevard Avalon Boulevard will transform into a fashion week scene with vignettes from stylish retailers and the tunes from Atlanta DJ Yvonne Monet.
- 5 to 7 p.m.: Bubbly & Bites | Palmer Plaza Visit Palmer Plaza for specialty cocktails and bites from acclaimed Oak Steakhouse and Colletta and enjoy acoustic music as the afternoon turns into evening.
- 7 to 10 p.m.: The Boulevard Bash | The Courtyard on Avalon BoulevardAs the sun sets on the Boulevard, Avalon Insiders will fill the streets to celebrate. Explore Avalon's newest additions and spend the evening under the stars with craft cocktail stations and musical performances.
