PADDLERS TOOK to the the river during Saturday's Back to the Chattahoochee River Race in Roswell.

SPECTATORS LINE the bridge at Roswell's Riverside Park. The race and festival were sponsored by the nonprofit organization Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, which protects and preserves the Chattahoochee River.

THE RACE included 8- and 10-mile courses through the Chattahoochee rapids, and a number of categories.
