Residents of North Fulton and DeKalb counties will have the chance to comment on service from the Chattahoochee River 911 Authority (ChatComm) when a national law enforcement accreditation commission visits the area later this month.

ChatComm serves Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Johns Creek and Sandy Springs. The communications accreditation unit of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. will take comments by phone between 1 and 3 p.m. June 13 at 404-843-6615. Comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address ChatComm’s ability to comply with CALEA standards.

Written comments can be sent to CALEA, 13575 Heathcote Blvd., Suite 320, Gainesville, VA 20155; or emailed to calea@calea.org.

There are 213 standards in three basic areas; policy and procedures, administration and operations. A copy of the standards is available at ChatComm. For information, call Stephen Pierce, 404-843-6609.
