North Fulton Community Charities, based in Roswell, reported this week that it has held more than 148 classes over the past year, teaching life skills to families facing economic hardship. The classes offer job and education skills to help struggling families find work.

The agency's Family Enrichment Program has helped return 50 percent of participants to the workforce, representing about $306,000 in gross income returning to the community and government services, according to Eden Purdy, program director.
