Mailbox decals intended to reduce the number of unwanted handbills left at residences and vacant properties can be picked up 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, at the Chamblee Police Department records section, 3518 Broad St.

The city created the decals after an ordinance on handbills was approved. It’s now unlawful to distribute material on private property if the mailbox is marked with the green decal.

Report violations of the ordinance via email at code_enforcement@chambleega.com.
