Chamblee launches building permit portal

The city of Chamblee Development Office has launched a contractor portal, a website for permit seekers and contractors for requesting residential building improvement permits. While all permitting and inspection functions are performed by the Chamblee Development Department, the portal was launched to streamline the application process.

Chamblee homeowners and contract workers will be able to use the portal to check inspection results, pay for plan reviews, permit fees and schedule inspections. Those wanting access to the portal will sign in by using the contractor ID issued. The development office launched the portal in order to cut down on the process time it takes to apply and receive a permit to build or improve residential dwellings. It will also allow users to reduce the response time for requesting building permits.
