Chamblee City Clerk, Emmie Niethammer, was elected to serve as the District Director for District 3 of the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association (GMCA) for 2020. Niethammer was sworn in during the Annual Business Meeting on Feb. 3 at Jekyll Island.

Niethammer has been the city of Chamblee city clerk for seven years. She is an International Institute of Municipal Clerks-Certified Municipal Clerk as of December 2015 and a Certified Georgia Clerk since February 2016.

With a membership of more than 375 city clerks, the vision of the Georgia Municipal Clerks Association is to promote integrity and excellence through education and professional development, to strengthen and support its membership and to enhance its image.
