The owners of a prime piece of real estate in north-central DeKalb County have pledged to keep a legal battle alive despite pending legislation to solve it.
House Bill 905 and House Bill 906 would validate a residential vote for the property and surrounding neighborhoods last year to become part of Chamblee. Brookhaven had annexed the complex alone just before the referendum last fall.
Highwoods Properties plans to continue its legal battle to join Brookhaven even if Gov. Nathan Deal signs the bills into law.
