While congressional leaders continue to bicker over spending -- and some lawmakers are even predicting an 11th-hour budget agreement -- the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum didn't wait for the clock to strike midnight on a federal government shutdown. By Friday afternooon, hours ahead of the 12 a.m. deadline for new budget deal, the former president's library said it would be closed this weekend "due to a Federal government shutdown.”
