Carrollton gas station worker faces child molestation charges
An employee of a gas station in Carrollton was arrested on child molestation charges Monday night.
Rajnikant Patel, morning clerk at the Stop N Shop on Newnan Road, faces six counts of child molestation and other charges.
Chris Dobbs with the Carrollton Police Department said the alleged victim is a 9-year-old boy who walked to the store each day before school.
The boy reported a recent incident to his parents, who called police.
Dobbs said the abuse took place at the store "over time, which is why there's so many molestation counts."
Patel's first appearance is scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday.
