Construction will cause a temporary disruption of water service Tuesday in part of Canton, city officials said Monday.
The Mountain View, Hidden Branches, Hillcrest and Cherokee Overlook subdivisions, including areas south and east of those subdivision, will be without water from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.
Heavy rains are expected Tuesday, however, so the outage may be backed up to Wednesday or Thursday.
After water service is restored, residents in the affected areas will be under a boil water advisory. All water used for drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food should be boiled for at least one minute, officials said.
