The Cobb County Department of Transportation will hold a public information open house concerning improvements at the intersections of Canton Road and Shallowford Road/Highland Terrace and of Canton Road and Piedmont Road.

The meeting will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 1 at Blackwell Elementary, 3470 Canton Road, Marietta.

There will be no formal presentation.

Residents are invited to learn more about the project, view maps, ask questions and provide comments.

Improvements will include the addition of turn lanes, sidewalks and signal upgrades as well as drainage improvements at Canton Road and Shallowford Road/Highland Terrace and at Canton Road and Piedmont Road.

Until May 15, written statements concerning these projects will be accepted and should be submitted to Karyn Matthews, Cobb County Department of Transportation, 1890 County Services Parkway, Marietta, GA 30008-4014.
