Six nominees have been selected by the Fayette County Board of Commissioners to be considered for two open seats on the county’s Hospital Authority.
At the Jan. 24 commission meeting, Vice Chairman Charles Oddo nominated Janice Carson, Michele Bass Lord and John Woody as potential replacements for incumbent Darrell McKinney. Authority incumbent Tami Randahl-Morris was nominated for another term, along with additional candidates Gina Martin and Michael Rocker. All six nominations were approved 5-0; the terms for both seats begin upon selection by the authority and expire May 31, 2022.
The five-member volunteer authority was established in 2000 and consists of business and community leaders who aid the hospital by issuing tax-free bonds and facilitating low-cost capital funding.
