One suspect was in custody early Tuesday following the smash-and-grab burglary of a CVS store in southwest Atlanta.

Police hope surveillance video will help them identify two of the remaining suspects, Channel 2 Action News reported.

According to Atlanta police dispatchers, the break-in happened about 6 a.m. when thieves drove a vehicle through the front façade of the CVS in the 2200 block of Cascade Road.

Police later chased a pickup truck that had allegedly been used in the burglary. The chase ended when the truck hit a couple of vehicles in the 1400 block of Beecher Street near Cascade Avenue.

One of the vehicles hit by the truck was a Honda that belonged to Mario Robinson.

After hitting Robinson’s Honda and another car, the suspect bailed out of the pickup and fled on foot, but was found in a nearby yard.

“The dog kept barking, and they found him in the grass in the back yard,” Robinson told the AJC.

Sydarius Andrews was arrested. Charges against him include burglary, hijacking a motor vehicle and fleeing police, according to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office website.
