Buford has released a draft plan for the city’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan. The plan is the city’s overarching policy statement and blueprint for the community’s future for the next 20 years. The plan replaces the city’s previous 2034 Comprehensive Plan.
The four key parts of the document available for review at www.buford2040.com includes an assessment of existing needs and opportunities, a community-driven vision for the future, with supporting goals and policies, a series of maps and geography-based recommendations for how each part of the city should develop, and a five-year work program to make that vision a reality.
The city has also released the second of two online surveys with questions about the draft vision and goal at www.surveymonkey.com/r/Buford2040Survey. The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.
