Buford Commissioners voted recently to increase the natural gas base charge rate by one dollar per month. The increase took place July 1 and will remain in place for each of the next 3 years to help the city balance operating costs. This is the city’s first natural gas base rate increase since 2012.

The Buford gas system supplies natural gas to over 40,000 customers throughout 5 different counties. The Buford Public Works Center at 1895 Peachtree Ind. Blvd. continuously monitors the flow of natural gas through the system’s pipelines and any changes in operating conditions.
