A busy Buckhead road has reopened after a ruptured gas line prompted emergency crews to close it Sunday morning.

Authorities closed East Paces Ferry Road at Piedmont Road until workers fixed the gas line shortly around noon.

Police told the AJC that officers shut down streets in a two-block radius in every direction from East Paces Ferry and Piedmont.

Atlanta Gas Light officials told Channel 2 Action News that a two-inch gas line was leaking. They could not say what caused the leak.
